Shelby Elizabeth Lucas Henemyre

Shelby Elizabeth Lucas Henemyre, 67, of Lee Co., GA died Friday, July 3, 2015 at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 5, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Thundering Springs Cemetery, Lee Co., GA. Rev. Raymond Smith will officiate.

A native of Tifton, GA, Mrs. Henemyre had resided in Albany since 1967 moving from Tifton, GA and moved to Lee Co., GA in 2001. She was a homemaker and had been previously employed with Queen Carpets in Tifton, GA, she was a floral designer and owned and operated Granny's Day Care. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Lucas and Geraldine Wilcox Lucas and her husband, James A. Henemyre. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a son, Jamie Henemyre and his wife Erin, three daughters, Cindy Dyess and her husband Jerry all of Lee Co., GA, Cheryl Haley and her husband Jim, Baconton, GA, Wendy Blount and her husband George, Leesburg, GA, sisters, Linda Ford and her husband Charles, Albany, GA, Joy Ellis, Albany, GA, Vickie Hayes, Ty Ty, GA, a brother, Buster Lucas, Enigma, GA, nine grandchildren, Courtney Wagner and her husband D.J., Preston, GA, Tori Blount, Dothan, AL, Heather Haley, Baconton, GA, Chandler Blount, Leesburg, GA, Brook Dyess, Leesburg, GA, Lucas Haley, Baconton, GA, Brandi Blount, Leesburg, GA, Junior Dyess, Leesburg, GA, Jay Henemyre, Leesburg, GA and a great-grandchild, Leiah Lee, Baconton, GA.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
