Scott Sumner Ellis

Scott S. Ellis, 50, of Albany, GA died Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Brian Gerstel and Rev. Mike Davis will officiate. Interment will follow in the Sumner City Cemetery, Sumner, GA.

A lifelong resident of Albany, GA, Mr. Ellis graduated from Albany High School in 1979 and was a supervisor with the City of Albany. He was a member of The Pointe and Grand Island Country Club. Scott was an avid fisherman and was a member of the Albany Bass 'n Buddies. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Ellis and his brother, Mark Ellis.

Survivors include his wife, Dawn Ellis, and his daughter, Preslee Jordan Ellis both of Lee Co., GA and his mother, Karen Ellis Haman of Albany, GA.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.
