Scolon "Olin" Apperson

Scolon “Olin” Apperson, 74, of Albany, GA passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Willson Hospice House. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery. Dr. William D. “Biff” Coker will officiate.

Born in Sylvester, GA, Mr. Apperson had resided in Albany, GA since 1963. He was a sheet metal mechanic and owned and operated Olin’s Sheet Metal. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert Apperson and Lillie Newell Apperson,  granddaughter, Megan Harris, brothers, William Apperson, R. J. Apperson, Charles Apperson, Gordan Apperson and sisters, Inez Purvis and Julia Etheridge.

Survivors include his wife, Dawn Ellis Apperson, Albany, GA, daughters, Kimberly Apperson, Albany, GA, Dana Hager (Jason), Lee Co., GA, grandson, Jake Hager, Atlanta, GA and a sister, Hazel Sakw, San Bernardino, CA.
