Sarah Jo Lee

Sarah Jo Lee, 88, of Albany, GA, passed away at Phoebe Memorial Hospital North Campus on Friday, May 5, 2017. A memorial service will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 20, 2017. Rev. Biff Coker will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at 11:00 a.m.

Mrs. Lee fought a long, hard battle for the last four years with West Nile Virus, a broken hip, and finally pneumonia and the flu. She was blessed with wonderful caregivers. Thank you so much Marjorie, Annette, Elaine, and Catherine. Also, the staff and Wynfield Nursing Home.

A native of Cherokee County, AL, Mrs. Lee resided off and on since 1954 in Albany. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Don't nobody not like Sarah Lee! Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husband Billy Lee, her parents, Pleas and Mary Archer, three sisters and a brother.

Survivors include her sons, Terry Lee and his wife Lou of Albany, GA, Johnny Lee and his wife Vicki of Waxahachie, TX, and Tommy Lee of Dallas, TX, and her nephew Dick Roe and his wife Hera of Baytown, TX.
