Sarah Brown

Sarah Knight Brown, 90 of Albany, died Monday, May 22, 2017.

Her memorial service will be at 3 PM on Saturday at Mathews Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

A native of Atlanta, Mrs. Brown had lived in Albany since 1956 and was a retired rural letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service.

She was affectionately known as both "Sally" and too many more as simply "Memaw."

She was preceded in death by husband Roy H. Brown, Sr. Survivors include her children: Roy H. Brown, Jr. (Christy) of Leesburg, Leslie Toole (Danny) of Leesburg, Leigh Camp of Albany, Camille Miles (Gene) of Albany, and Valerie Attell of Morrow. Her grandchildren: Stewart Brown, David Brown (Candice), Cameron Alpert, Rusty Summerlin (Cara), Rebecca McNeal (Michael), Robbie Toole (Erin), Donovan Toole, Troy Toole (Lisa), Donna Harbosky (Kevin), and Taylor Hartley. 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
