Samuel Wayne DuBose, 85, of Albany, GA died Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Billy D. Hanna will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors.
Born in Miller Co., GA., Mr. DuBose moved to Albany, GA in 1958 from Columbus, GA. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army, a member of the VFW Post # 2785 and was retired from Air Products and Chemicals. He was a member of member of First Free Will Baptist Church where he was a member of the K and K Sunday School Class and served as Deacon Emeritus. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a great-grandfather and was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Bluford DuBose and Minnie Clyde Gilbert.
Survivors include his wife, Ouida McDonald DuBose, Albany, GA, a daughter, Vicki Dubose Davis and her husband Larry L. Davis, Leesburg, GA, two brothers, Earl DuBose (Becky), and Charles Dubose (Joyce) all of Albany, GA, three grandchildren, Ivey Danielle Davis, Austen Larry Davis, Jason Wayne Davis and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Grace Davis.

The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at First Free Will Baptist Church.
