Ruth Couch Mills

Ruth Couch Mills of Lee County, GA died Monday, April 17, 2023. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Mr. Ross Powell will officiate.

Born in Albany, GA, Ms. Mills was retired from the United States Postal Service after twenty-seven years of service. She truly loved her dogs, grandchildren, and children, and it was in that exact order.

She was preceded in death by her mother Hazel Evelyn Couch, her father Hardy Lee Couch, Sr., her brother Hardy Lee Couch, Jr., her sister Janette Allen, and her sister Betty Wiltshire.

Survivors include her son, Rex H. McTyeire (Amy), her daughter Shawn McTyeire Marler (Tim), her grandchildren Samantha Terrell, Joshua Yancey, Madison Williams (Thomas), Matthew Ryan McTyeire, McKinzie McTyeire, McKenna McTyeire, and Jarin McTyeire. She also leaves behind two sisters, Elaine Jones, Sandra Slack, her brother Richard Couch, four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
