Ruth Williams Keister

Our loving mom Ruth Williams Keister, 87, of Roswell, GA formally of Albany, GA passed away peacefully with family by her side on February 1, 2016 at Embracing Hospice of Cumming, GA. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home with Ross Powell officiating. As per the family's request a private entombment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Grady County, GA Mrs. Keister was born to the late Simion and Amanda Williams on June 18, 1928. Her family moved to Albany, GA when she was eleven years old and later graduated from Albany High School in 1946. She was employed with the State of GA as the Principal Secretary for the Southwest District Health Director.

Survivors include her children, David Chatman of Albany, GA, Judith Chatman Nash (Al Nash) of Roswell, GA, Janet Chatman Powell (Kevin Powell) of Norcross, GA, Connie Chatman Wingate (William Wingate) of Albany, GA.
Eight grandchildren including Christa Chatman Gackstetter, Brad Chatman, Donny Chatman, Judson Nash, Jessica Nash Earnest, Jason Powell, Jessica Powell Dennis and Amanda Wingate White.
Eight Great Grandchildren including Matthew Goodwin, Davis Chatman, Brooks Chatman, Cooper Chatman, Bray Nash, Jackson Nash, Ann Presley Earnest and Hudson White.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 pm at Mathews Funeral Home on Friday February 5, 2016.
