Ruby Lee Dockery

Ruby Lee Dockery, 82, of Leesburg, GA died Monday, July 3, 2017 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be conducted Friday, July 7, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Chuck Smith will officiate.

Born in McCaysville, Fannin Co., GA, Mrs. Dockery moved to Albany, GA in 1962 and moved to Leesburg, GA in 1990. She was retired from Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital where she worked within the information center and she attended Kinchafoonee Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Dean and Hanna Godfrey Dean, her husband, Samuel Clyde (Popsie) Dockery and a grandson, Dalton Samuel Dockery.

Survivors include three sons, Steven C. Dockery and his wife, Shella, Terry C. Dockery all of Leesburg, GA, David C. Dockery and his wife Kelly, Auburn, GA, a brother, Dennis Dean and his wife Clairess, Epworth, GA, ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Mathews Funeral Home following the services.
