Rozelle Hawkins Oxyer

Her funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday, May 10, 2024 at Mathews Funeral Home with interment at 2:00 PM in Andersonville National Cemetery.

Born in Macrae, Georgia to the late  Nat "Red" and Carrie Lou Blakinship Roberson, Mrs. Oxyer had lived in Leesburg since 1979 and was retired from Flint River Textiles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold “Pete” Oxyer, son James Douglas Hawkins, Jr. parents and brothers, Jimmy Roberson and Johnny Roberson.

Survivors include her children, Sandy Lawson, Donald Hawkins, grandchildren, Siera Baker, Christina Hawkins, Lacey Lee, Destiney Lee, Kimberly Hawkins, James D. Hawkins, III, Mary Bryant, great grandchildren, Brayleigh Duncan, Ryleigh Duncan, Caroline Baker, Jace Hawkins, and her sisters, Daine Rutledge, and Dot Shell.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
