Royce William Wood

Royce William Wood, 56, of Lee County GA, passed away Thursday January 8, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Chuck Smith will officiate.

Born and raised in Albany, Royce moved to Lee County with his wife Rhonda in 1981. He was a self-employed carpenter and formerly employed with Beauchamp and Associates. Hobbies included landscaping, woodwork, fishing, and boating with family and friends. He was a member of the Sportsman Club and Kinchafoonee Baptist Church. Royce was preceded in death by his parents William "Bill" and Roberta "Bert" Wood, a brother Ronnie E. Wood, a sister Georgia Webb, and a niece Jennifer Wood.

Survivors include his children, Robby Wood (Lacy) of Leesburg, GA, Brittany Faircloth (Richard) of Cordele, GA, two brothers, Randy Wood (Donna) and Rodney Wood (Debbie) both of Leesburg, GA, three grandchildren, Aidan Faircloth, Brylee Faircloth, and Kylie Rae Faircloth, one niece, Angela Baron and five nephews, Robin Swope, Andy Wood (Estee), Jonathan Wood, Jarrett Wood (Jade), and Buddy Wood.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
