Royce Bernard Inlow

Royce Bernard Inlow. 73, of Albany, GA passed away Friday, June 30, 2023 at his residence.

We lost a good one. Royce Inlow died on June 30, 2023 and is now back together with Patti living happily ever after with our Lord. He lived a full life, filled with family and friends, and will be missed.

Royce was born on December 19, 1949 in Bainbridge, Georgia. A military brat, he lived Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, and Japan.  After graduating from Dougherty High School in 1967, he attended Albany Junior College and then Auburn University. Auburn stole his heart in more ways than one. On a blind date to an Iron Bowl in 1970, he met Patti Pruitt and never looked back. 

Royce and Patti married in 1973 in Selma, Alabama and began their married life in Albany, Georgia.  Royce worked for Merck & Co in Human Resources, which is still surprising to many. He was good at it. Merck moved the Inlow family to Virginia in 1990 for three years and then to New Jersey for four years. Georgia was always home, and in 1997 Royce and Patti moved back to Albany to finish his career.

Throughout his life, Royce enjoyed sports with his boys, Ryan and Jay, playing golf with the group, spending time at the lake, and Auburn football. 

Saturday nights were always steak night, a tradition that started with his father and continues on. He treasured his Auburn Kappa Alpha friendships and continued making memories with those guys long after they should have. 

Royce was preceded in death by his wife, Patti, and his father, Bernie Inlow. 

Survivors include his mother, Betty Inlow; sons Ryan (Kimberly) and Jay (Libba); grandchildren Ansley, Amelia, and Caroline Inlow and Davis and Sam Inlow; sisters Carol Wiggins and M’Lou Lyon; and brother Gary Inlow. 

The family is a having private service to celebrate Royce.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make a donation to Willson Hospice House, 320 Foundation Lane, Albany, GA,. 31707.
