Roy Claude Lawrence

Roy Claude Lawrence, 87, of Dawson, GA passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Dawson, GA. Rev. Currie Spoon will officiate.

Mr. Lawrence was born in Decatur Co., GA and moved to Dawson, GA at a young age and had resided there since. He was retired from General Telephone as their district supervisor and after retirement he joined the City of Dawson as their maintenance supervisor. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dawson, GA

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Claude Lawrence and Macey Lou Ray Lawrence and a brother, Charles Ray Lawrence.

Survivors include his wife, Gail D. Lawrence, Dawson, GA, sons, Michael Davidson Lawrence, Terrell Co., GA, Thomas Allen Lawrence and his wife Ginger, Sumter Co., GA, his sister, Mariclay Parks, Terrell Co., GA and a grandson, Thomas Carter Lawrence.
