Rosemary Lea Evans

Rosemary "Rosie" Lea Evans, 73, of Albany, GA, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Willson Hospice House. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2014 at Gillionville Baptist Church. Rev. Roy Cook will officiate.

A native of Bonne Terre, MO, born to the late John B. and Glenda Brand, Mrs. Evans graduated from Bonne Terre High School and attended college. She had resided in Albany since 1989 moving from Cordele GA. She retired from the Jewelry Department at Wal-Mart in Albany. She was a member of Gillionville Baptist Church, the Encouragers Sunday School Class and was previously active in the nursery (MOPS). She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Evans and a son, Wesley Bryan Evans.

Survivors include a son, Douglas (Doug) Brand Evans of Albany, GA, a grandson, Bryant Wesley Evans of Baconton, GA, a brother, John B. (Norma) Brand of Saint Ann, MO., a sister Jacqueline A. Meador of Farmington, MO, and a special friend and caregiver, Alice J. Crews of Albany, GA.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Gillionville Baptist Church.
