Rosalynn D. Carswell

Rosalynn D. (Lynn) Carswell, 55, of Albany, GA, died February15, 2015 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bob Halstead will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Cordele, GA, Lynn grew up in Albany, GA and graduated from Albany High School in 1978. Lynn was an office manager for Carswell Electric and a homemaker. She was the former Booster President at Deerfield School and served as President of National League Ball Park. She was also the Concessions Manager for Darton Baseball and a member of Sherwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy R. Duke and a sister, Brooke Duke Blankenship.

Survivors include her husband, Cliff Carswell of Albany, GA, a son, Brandon (Ashley) Carswell of Sioux Falls, SD, three grandchildren, Brayden Carswell, Cason Carswell and Aubree Carswell, her mother, Bayne H. Duke of Acworth, GA, her sisters, Lisa (Terry) Hendley of Acworth, GA, Lori (Mike) Coley of Cumming, GA, Leslie (Robby) Kirk of Acworth,GA, Hal (Rella) Duke of Conyers, GA, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy D. and Laverne Carswell of Albany, GA, her brothers-in-law, Jeff (Sylvia) Carswell of Albany, GA, Bruce (Roger Newswainger) Carswell of Sylvester, GA, Terry (Kelly) Carswell and Ryan Carswell and a sister-in-law, Tammy Dunham all of Albany, GA.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
