Ronnie Joseph Rowell

Ronnie Joseph Rowell Sr. 67, of Leesburg, GA, died July 22, 2014 at Mayo Clinic Health Center in Waycross, GA. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. E.C. Rowell will officiate.

Born in Blackshear, GA, Mr. Rowell moved to Leesburg, GA in 2013. He served in the United States Navy including two tours in Vietnam and was a Bosun Mate 3rd class. Mr. Rowell attended Life Christian Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tollie and Sarah Rowell, a son Ronnie Joseph Rowell, Jr., three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Rowell of Lee County, three daughters, Tonya Lawrence and her husband, J.P. of Sylvester, GA, Amy Rowell of Leesburg, GA, Sabrina Rowell-Bartlett and her husband, Dewayne of Titusville, FL, six grandchildren, Allie Jones, Amanda Rowell, Todd Rowell, Taylor Rowell, Savannah Benson and Heather Jones, Kaitlan Kershner of Titusville, FL, two brothers, Alvin Rowell Sr., Rev. E.C. Rowell and a sister, Winna-Lee Miller.

Visitation will follow the memorial service.
