Ronald J. Pugh

Ronald Joe Pugh, (MSgt, USMC, Ret.) 67, of Lee County, GA, died June 20, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 1, 2019, at 12:00 noon at Andersonville National Cemetery. Ross Powell will officiate. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard.

Mr. Pugh was born in Haleyville, AL on March 9, 1952 to the late Frank and Mary Pugh. He graduated from High School and joined the United States Marine Corps and served for twenty years. During his service he deployed three times during the Persian Gulf War. He moved to Lee County, GA in 2000 and was employed with the Marine Corps Logistic Base before retiring. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Pugh.

Survivors include his children, Nora Stamper, Josh Pugh, his granddaughter, Nina Jane Stamper and two brothers, David Pugh and Kim Pugh.

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
