Roger Wade Pollock

Roger Wade Pollock, 63, of Albany, GA, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at his residence.  Memorial services will be conducted Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Liberty Parkway Church of God, 1301 Schley Ave., Albany, GA, 31707, at 2:30pm.  Pastor Matthew Schluckerbrier and Brother Chris Turner will officiate. 

Born in Pelham, GA, Roger moved to Albany and entered the HVAC and refrigeration technologies field.  Early in his life Roger took on the role of protector.  He stood for what he felt to be right, but under his hard shell was a loving and caring man that was willing to help anyone in need.  Roger joined the Fraternal Order of Freemasons, and through the special place he held in his heart for children, became a Shriner.  During his years of service in these organizations, Roger met many people but none were strangers.  He loved to laugh, and was the perpetual prankster.  Roger loved hard and lived life to the fullest, and no doubt all that knew him will truly miss "Ole Rog".

Roger was preceded in death by his mother Hilda Pollock and a sister Barbara Wood.  Survivors include a daughter Tiffany (Mike) Nix of Albany, GA, a son Marty (Heather) Pollock of Worth County, his father Charles “Shorty” Pollock of Albany, GA, three sisters Annell Whitaker (Rusty) of Albany, GA, Charlene (Greg) Sawyer of Albany, GA, Brenda (Mack) McIntyre of Worth County, a brother Joe (Beth) Pollock of Leesburg, GA, grandchildren Logan Nix, Christina Yon, Matthew Garland, Joseph Poole, Gavin Pollock, Dustin Pollock, John Carnline, Camren Carnline, and great grandchildren Bryce and Ceaton.

The family will receive friend’s immediately following the service at the Church.
