Robert A. Western

Robert A. Western, 62, of Sharpsburg, GA, died Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Griffin Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Ray Levreault will officiate.

Born in Jacksonville, FL, Mr. Western had resided in Sharpsburg, GA a number of years. He was the owner/operator of his asphalt paving company and specialized in tennis courts. He was of the Catholic faith and preceded in death by his parents, William Western and Helen Lee Mullen Western and three brothers, George S. Western, Louie Western, and Douglas Western.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Western and a son, Robert Western, Jr. both of Sharpsburg, GA, two daughters, April Salter, Stockbridge, GA, Toni Prather (Jack), Newnan, GA, a sister, Pricilla Western, Sharpsburg, GA and four grandchildren, Joshua Leeki Western, Douglas Salter, Matthews Salter and Isabella Prather.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
