Robert Lewis Slagle

Robert Lewis (Bob) Slagle, 84, of Albany, GA, died Saturday, October 11, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye and Pastor Randy Culberson will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Born in Indianapolis, IN, Mr. Slagle had resided in Albany, GA for the past sixty five years. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Air Force and a member of the American Legion Post # 30. He was retired from MCLB where he was a computer programmer and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of six five years, Hazel Ethridge Slagle, Albany, GA, three daughters, Linda Susan Slagle and Angela Slagle Culberson both of Albany, GA, Cindy Merchant Goodman, Tallahassee, FL, four grandchildren, Jason Lee Culberson, Brian Keith Culberson, Angelo (Kody) Feros, Keri Melissa Merchant, five great grandchildren, Phoenix Culberson, Quentin Culberson, Liam Culberson, Yuri Culberson and Noah Paul Merchant.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
