Rob Woodrow Lane, 81, of Colquitt, GA formerly of Albany, GA, died May 18, 2023 at the Willson Hospice House. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, May 26th at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Colquitt.
Rob was born on August 11, 1941 in Manchester, TN to the late Woodrow and Anita Nance Lane. He moved to Ashburn, GA with his family while he was in his teens and graduated from Turner County High School. Rob attended ABAC and was employed in electrical sales and distribution most of his career.
After College, Rob moved to Atlanta for a time, then to Warwick where he lived for 19 years. He then settled in Albany and in 2010 moved to Colquitt, GA on Pat’s family farm. Rob was employed with Border States Electrical, and was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church, but was currently attending The First Baptist Church of Colquitt.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Roy Lee Lane and his sister, Rhetta Lane Cadle.
Survivors include his wife, Pat S. Lane of Colquitt, GA, a daughter, Robin (Ron) Downs of Albany, two step-sons, Wes (Andrea) Vann and Mitch (Tammy) Vann all of Colquitt, nine grandchildren, Garrett (Logan) Vann, Cole Vann, Reese Vann, Connor (Bo) Mock, Kate Vann, Camryn Vann, Wendy Hoover, Tony Downs and Ronald Downs, Jr., great-grandchildren, D.J. Mock, Noah Downs, Emily Downs, Shaw Downs, Zoe Matteson, Dylan Hoover, Oliver Hoover and Sloane Hoover.
Rob had a love for cars and Harleys.
