Robert Earl Granger

Robert Earl Granger 68, of Albany, GA died Sunday, March 11, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Reagan Marsh will officiate. Interment will follow in Blakely City Cemetery.

A native of Blakely, GA, Mr. Granger had lived most of his life in Albany, GA. He was a retired senior foreman at Coats and Clark in the Yarn and Dye Departments. Mr. Granger was a member of Beacon Baptist Church and a member of the Golden Key Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Edmond Granger and Bronnie Mae White Granger Taylor, two brothers, Jimmy Granger and Harvey Granger.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Granger of Albany, GA; son, William Scott Humphrey and his wife, Teresa of Harriman, TN; two daughters, Melissa Gimenez and her fiancé, Bruce Johnson both of Albany, GA; Christy Bueme and her husband, Joe of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, Vivian Roberts and her husband, Carrol of Putney, GA, Edith Merle Cannon and her husband, Ray of Albany, GA; two brothers, Herman Tommy Granger and Eddie Ray Granger both of Wauchula, FL; an uncle, Chester White of Blakely, GA; six granddaughters, one grandson and many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
