Robert E. (Bobby Gene) Coxwell

Robert E. (Bobby Gene) Coxwell, 80, of Leesburg, GA died February 20, 2016 his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Leesburg Cemetery. Rev. Lee Smith will officiate.

Born in Leesburg, GA to the late Henry Jackson Coxwell and Bertha Claude Herrington Coxwell, Mr. Coxwell graduated from Dawson High School and Albany Technical College and served in the United States Air Force. He was the Branch Manager for Dixie Bearings Company for twenty-eight years and had lived in Terrell County, GA for several years before returning to Albany, GA and Lee County. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Leesburg, GA and the Fellowship Sunday School Class.

Mr. Coxwell is preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Ann Coxwell and one brother, Danny Coxwell.

Survivors include his wife, Helen H. Coxwell and daughter Marilyn Sue Bartlett, both of Leesburg, GA, five brothers, Wesley Jackson Coxwell, Guyton, GA, James Coxwell (Myrtle), Billy Coxwell, Lee Coxwell, and Joe Coxwell, all of Terrell Co, GA, two sisters, Jeannette Long, Montgomery, AL, Mary Emily McPherson, Hamilton Co, GA, a granddaughter, Paige Marie Baxter, Leesburg, GA, and four great-grandchildren.

Following the funeral service, the family will be at the residence of Jimmy and Myrtle Coxwell, 2252 Sasser Herod Rd., Dawson, GA.
