Rita Ann Wheaton Lesieur

Rita Ann Wheaton Lesieur, 80, of Albany, GA., died Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. A funeral mass will be conducted Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Teresa's Catholic Church. Rev. Ray Levreault will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Born in Detroit MI., Mrs. Lesieur had resided in Albany since 1968 moving from Ft. Bragg, NC. She had formally worked at MLCB and Belk's Department Store. She was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Wheaton, Sr. and Virginia Vanderwill Wheaton and a daughter Brenda Ann Lesieur.

Survivors include her husband Henry "Hank" Raoul Lesieur, of Albany, GA., Three sons Mike Lesieur (Sandra) of Grover, NC, Jon Lesieur (Sonya) and Bruce Lesieur (Ginger) all of Albany, GA, 6 Brothers Lyold Wheaton, Jr. (charlotte) of Douglas, GA, Joe Wheaton of Calhoun GA, Jerry Wheaton of CA, Irvin Wheaton Dennis Wheaton (Judy) and Norman Wheaton All of Detroit, MI., Three grandsons Bruce Lesieur, JR. (Denise) of Sylvester, GA, Easton Lesieur (Kyra) and Quaide Lesieur both of Albany, GA and a great grandchild Erin Dixon of Sylvester, GA.

A wake service will be held at Mathews Funeral Home Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. with Visitation to follow until 7:30 p.m.
