Richard R. Dunn, Sr.

Richard Reynolds Dunn, Sr., 62, of Dawson, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia.

He is survived by the mother of his children and beloved friend, Rebecca Hazel Dunn of Apalachicola, FL; his two children, Paige Markham Dunn of Dawson, GA and Richard Reynolds Dunn, Jr of Albany, GA; two grandchildren, Michael Brier Hayes and Carrington Elizabeth Hayes; siblings, Robert George Dunn, III (Sabra) of Albany, GA, Suzanne Dunn Rierson of Tallapoosa, GA, Beatrice Dunn Williams (Eddie) of Bainbridge, GA and Patricia Dunn Taylor (Lou) of Albany, GA; nieces and nephews, Holly Crawford (Bill), Kelly Chandler (James), Robert Rierson (Sondra), Robert Dunn, IV, Hon. Leigh Martin-May (Gil), Ashley Miles (Dr. Will Miles), Stephen Martin (Julie), Jonathan Rierson (Marcie), James Williams (Britni); and his loyal Labrador Retriever, Virginia.

He joins in Heaven his mother, Rosaleigh Tyler Dunn and his father, Dr. Robert George Dunn, Jr.

He loved sports of all kinds, but especially Florida State football and the Atlanta Braves.  When not working at Georgia Pacific he enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman.

Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16 at St Patrick’s Episcopal Church, Albany, Georgia with a celebration of life at Henry’s from 3 to 5 p.m.
