Richard A. Goodson

Richard A. Goodson, 85, of Albany, GA, died Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at his residence. Private family services will be held. A native of Kimball, WV, Mr. Goodson was born to the late Paul and Gladys Goodson and served in the United States Army during Korea. He worked in the Perlis Coal Mines in West Virginia before moving to Albany, GA in 1964. Mr. Goodson was employed with Carlton Caterpillar then opened and operated Albany Forklift for twenty years and he retired from the Marine Corps Logistic Base. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose # 1285 and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Henderson Goodson of Albany, GA and a son, Richard Allan Goodson of Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Ray Burks. The family will receive friends at their residence.
