Richard J. Davis

Richard J. Davis, 60, of Albany, GA, died February 19, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Alvin Lewis will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

A native and lifelong resident of Albany, GA, born to the late R.J. and Virginia Davis, Richard attended Albany schools. He was a retired self-employed Master Carpenter and was previously employed with Giles Builders Supply and American Custom Milworks.

Survivors include his wife, Mollie W. Davis of Albany, GA, two children, Stephanie Davis Rumph and her husband, Tommy of Albany, GA and Ricky Davis and his wife, Brittany of Sasser, GA, two sisters, Sonja Sedberry and her husband, Mark of Ft. Gaines, GA and Vickie Stautihar and her husband, Dale of Independence, OH, a brother, David Davis and his wife, Loli of Albany, GA and four grandchildren, Taylor Rumph, Cohen Rumph, Jenna Davis and Lexie Davis.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
