Richard Jimmie Davis

Richard Jimmie Davis, 71, of Albany, GA died Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Phoebe Worth Hospital. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Acree Baptist Church. Rev. Chris Hurt will officiate.

Born in Irwinton, GA, Mr. Davis resided in Albany, GA most of his adult life. He was retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie Melton Davis and Ella Mae Collins Davis, a brother, Milton Davis, four sisters, Mae Pearl Davis, Inez Davis, Martha Horton, and Willie Mae Herrin.

Survivors include two daughters, Amy D. Faulk and Dawn Howard (David) all of Leesburg, GA, two brothers, Charles Davis, Newnan, GA, Jimmy Davis, Cochran, GA, four sisters, Sara Smith, Toomsboro, GA, Lillie Allen, Denver, CO, Betty McCarty and Eloise Brown both of Milledgeville, GA, a granddaughter, Lydia Howard.

The family will receive friends following services at the church.
