Rhonda Shea Jones

Rhonda Shea Jones, 58, of Newton, GA, died January 8, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Mitchell Co., GA. Pastor Jeff Barker will officiate. Interment will follow in Oakview Cemetery in Camilla, GA.

A native of Donaldsonville, GA, born to the late James J. Glass and Mary Lou Hatcher, Rhonda was raised in Colquitt, GA and graduated from Albany High School. She lived in Camilla, GA before moving to Newton, GA in 2000. She was a cosmetologist for many years and owned and operated Hair Connections in Albany, GA. Rhonda was a member of Kinchafoonee Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a husband, James Tooley Spence, a son, Joshuah Lomineck, a brother, Michael Horne and her step-mother, Veryle Glass.

Survivors include her husband, Edward L. Jones, Sr., three daughters, Alicia Hope (Kenny) Brock and Misty (Drew) Davis all of Newton, GA and Sam (Jack) Addison of Baconton, GA, a son, James Horne and a step-daughter, Dale Purvis both of Newton, GA, two brothers, James Larry (Joyce) Glass of Colquitt, GA and Roger (Michelle) Horne of Sasser, GA, eight grandchildren, Santana Addison of Baconton, GA, Arturo Fuentes, Logan Willis, Zakkary Willis, Caydon Davis, Braylee Davis, Shaneh Folsom, Joan Robinson and Jennifer Withers all of Newton, GA and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Mathews Funeral Home.
