Rhoda Dorothy Tillis

Rhoda Dorothy Tillis, 74, of Albany, GA, died February 3, 2018 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton, GA. Ross Powell will officiate. A native of Towanda, PA, born to the late Leonard and Dorothy King, Rhoda moved to Albany at a young age and graduated from Albany High School. She was a Baptist by faith and was the former Assistant Manager at the Shell Oil Convenient Store on the corner of Clark Avenue and Mock Road. Survivors include her husband, Billy G. Simpson, a sister, Letita Watson, a brother, Tom Joiner and a number of nieces and nephews all of Albany, GA. The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.
