Raymond Chance

Raymond Chance, 95, of Albany, GA passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023, at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 19, 2023, at 3:00 pm at New Park Cemetery in Fort Gaines, GA. Reverend Michael Williams will officiate.

Born in Early Co., GA, Mr. Chance moved to Albany, GA in 1966 moving from Bluffton, GA . He was a retired farmer and after moving to Albany, GA he joined  Raleigh White Baptist Church and after it was dissolved he rejoined Bluffton Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus Chance and Lucy McGugon, his siblings, Donnell Chance, Irell Powell and Carl Chance and a grandson, Lucas Chance Johnston.

Survivors include his children, Ed Chance (Stacey) and LuAn Chance Nicholson (Nikk) all of Albany, GA, a sister, Thelma Dukes, Panama City Beach, FL, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers those desiring may make memorials in memory of Raymond Chance to Bluffton Baptist Church, 105 Broad St., Bluffton, GA, 39842.    

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Mathews Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
