Raymond Thomas Brooks

Raymond "Ray" Thomas Brooks, Sr., 70, of Albany, GA, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014, at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Mathews Funeral Home located at 3206 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA. Father Stanton of St. Teresa's Catholic Church will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Raymond was born on November 4, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of Robert and Anne Brooks, brother of Robert, Richard, Russell, and Roger Brooks. He retired from Proctor and Gamble and later worked for Cooper Tire Company. On any given day, you could find Raymond enjoying his passions - on the golf course or working in his beautiful yard.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Fulmer Brooks and Ann's children: Rhonda Coleman (Eddie) and their children, Melissa (Jason) Griffin and Leslie (Jodie) Knight and Susan Anita Smith (Lynn) and their children, Luke Smith and John Smith and two great-grandchildren, Olivia Brown and Andrew Knight all of Leesburg, GA.
His six children, a daughter, Rose Anne Corriveau (James) and their two sons, Chad Richard and John Paul Corriveau, all of Tallahassee, FL, a son, Raymond Thomas Brooks, Jr. and his children, Nathan Brooks and Megan Brooks all of Bogart, GA, a son, James Michael Brooks (Susan) and their son, Jeremy Brooks all of Baconton, GA, a daughter, Lisa Brooks of Boise, ID., two other daughters, Kimberly Michelle Brooks and Cecelia Jane Brooks both of Florence, KY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Anne and Robert Brooks, as well as his brother Russell Brooks.
After the memorial service, friends and family are invited to gather at the Brooks' home for food and fellowship.
