Raymond Lee Avera

Raymond Lee Avera, 71, of Albany, GA died Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Born in Moultrie, GA, Mr. Avera had resided in Albany, GA most all of his adult life. He was retired from MCLB and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Wynell Ethridge Avera, Albany, GA, two sons, David Avera (Maria), Marianna, FL. and Michael Avera (Charity), Crawfordville, FL, his mother, Estelle Shelton Avera, Albany, GA, three brothers, Roger Avera, Terry Avera and Mark Avera all of Albany, GA, a sister, Joyce Odom (Herschel), Albany, GA and four grandchildren, Colt Bruner, Michael Avera, Jr., Emma Avera and Haley Avera.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorials in memory of Raymond Lee Avera to a charity of their choice.
