Raymon ""R.J."" Jean Apperson

Raymon Jean "R.J." Apperson, 77, of Albany, GA died Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Friday at3:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Etheredge will officiate. Interment will follow at Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

A native Worth County, GA Mr. Apperson had lived in Albany, GA since 1956 moving from Tifton, GA. He was Owner of Apperson Sheet Metal Shop and was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Apperson was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Watson Apperson

Survivors include a daughter, Anne Lester (Denver) of Dawson, GA, five sons, Mike Apperson of Albany, Rodney Apperson (Gail) of Albany, GA, Ray Apperson (Susan) of Lumpkin, GA, Wade Apperson (Tammy) of Leesburg, GA and Greg Apperson (Melissa) of Leesburg, GA, a brother, Olin Apperson (Dawn) of Albany, GA , two sisters, Inez Purvis of Worth County, GA and Hazel Shaw of San Bernadino, CA, eighteen grandchildren and twenty two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
