Raul Franco Carrillo, Jr.

Raul Franco Carrillo, Jr., 61, of Albany, GA, died Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at his residence.  A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 6:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.  Rev. Chad Ellis will officiate.

Raul was born in Mexico City, Mexico on January 30, 1962 to Raul and Teresa Carrillo, Sr.  He grew up, attended school there and was the youngest (baby boy) and spoiled member of a large family.  He moved to Albany, GA with his family in 1989 and was a self-employed concrete contractor.

Raul loved to read, was a deep thinker and never met a stranger.  He visited Gillionville Baptist Church and enjoyed Rock & Roll, the Florida Gators, playing soccer and swimming.  Raul was preceded in death by his father, Raul Carrillo, Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Teresa Franco Carrillo, his children, Marybell Carrillo and Nestor (Amanda) Carrillo all of Albany, GA, Valerie Carrillo of New York, NY and Dulce Carrillo of Albany, GA, his life-long love and mother of his children, Maria Juarez of Albany, GA, his siblings, Alfredo, Alejandro, Ricardo and Adolfo Carrillo , Mireya Barcenas, Gabriela Rivera and Liliana Guzman and his grandchildren, Demetris Lett, Jazmine Lett, Makenzy Carrillo, David Carrillo and Noah Carrillo.

The family will receive friends Sunday at Mathews Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
