Ramona Adair Smith Roberts

Ramona Adair Smith Roberts, 85, of Albany, GA, died August 8, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at Avalon United Methodist Church. Rev. Jimmy Sharpe, Rev. Dennis Lanning and Rev. Daniel Roberts will officiate. A committal service will follow at 2:00 PM at the Lilly City Cemetery in Lilly, GA.

A native of Waverly, GA, Mrs. Roberts graduated from Kingsland High School in Kingsland, GA and the Macon Hospital School of Nursing. Family lived in St. Marys, GA and moved to Lilly, GA in 1972.

She was employed in the medical field all of her career and retired from Flint River Hospital in 1992. After her retirement, Mrs. Roberts moved to Albany, GA. She was a member of Avalon United Methodist Church, The United Methodist Women and the Ladies Bible Sunday School Class where she served as the assistant teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer L. Roberts and a son, Dennis Adair Roberts.

Survivors include her children, Carolyn Rentz and her husband, Don of Lee County, GA, Woody Roberts and his wife, Cyndy of Barnesville, GA and Jack Roberts and his wife, Ronnie of Albany, GA, ten grandchildren, Carrie (David) Fischer of Atlanta, GA, Dodd (Joy) Rentz of Athens, GA, Joe Brown (Tricia) Rentz of Fayetteville, GA, Karen (Terry) Ho and Terri Newcomb all of Albany, GA, Ben (Ashley) Roberts of Waynesboro, GA, Daniel (Kristi) Roberts of Canton, GA, Lyndsay (Nate) Rushing of Macon, GA, Kelly (John) Melvin of Leary, GA, Chase (Katelyn) Roberts of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Lyn Roberts of Homewood, AL and Mandy Roberts and her fiance', Ty Cochran of Atlanta, GA and eleven great-grandchildren, Lane, John Daniel, Ava, Mackenzie, Sawyer, Adair, Flynn, Addy, Lucy, Briggs and Bo.

The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Avalon United Methodist Church.
