Peggy English Lacy

 Peggy Ann English Lacy, 91, of Albany, GA, died January 11, 2025 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Sowhatchee Baptist Church Cemetery in Blakely, GA. Rev. Bruce English will officiate.

Mrs. Lacy was born in Blakely, GA on October 5, 1933 to John Jenkins and Annie Merle Belisle English. She graduated from Early County High School and moved to Albany, GA in 1956. Mrs. Lacy was employed with Davis Brothers Suburban and The Victory Club for many years and retired from Merry Acres Restaurant. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, fishing and watching The Atlanta Braves. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas “Tom” Lacy and her siblings, Billy English, Buddy English, Anna Ruth Lunsford, Coot English, Earl English and Bobby English. 

Survivors include her daughter, Alanda (Tim) Crimmins of Lee County, GA, her step-son, Tommy (Sally) Lacy of Peachtree City, GA, her step-daughter, Emily Lacy of Peachtree City, GA, her grandchildren, Chad Crimmins, Erin (Chris) Anderson and Lauren (Jason) Caserio all of Leesburg, GA and nine great-grandchildren, Carson, Logan, Thomas, Harlow, Amelia, Blakely, Hudson, Reed and Laney

The family will visit with friends following the graveside.
