Pearlie Merline Rainey

Pearlie Merline Rainey, 86, of Albany, GA, died February 20, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Jones will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

A native of Enterprise, AL born to the late Robert and Zula Jones, Mrs. Rainey was married to her late husband, Benjamin Franklin Rainey in 1946 and moved to Albany, GA in 2012. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Assembly Church of God. Mrs. Rainey was preceded in death by a son, Benny Howard Rainey.

Survivors include two daughters, Patsy Marshall of Albany, GA and Barbara Gail Mills of Warwick, GA, three sons, Max Ray Rainey of Lee County, GA, Jimmy Rainey and his wife, Melinda of Inola, OK and Roger Rainey and his wife, Denese of Milner, GA, Gary and his wife Linda of Lee County, GA, 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. The family would like to extended special thanks to the staff at Albany Community Hospice.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
