Paul H. Freeman, Sr., 68, of Bronwood, GA, died February 22, 2014 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Chickasawhatchee Baptist Church in Dawson, GA. Rev. Emil Askew will officiate. Interment will follow in the Bronwood City Cemetery with Military Honors.
A native and lifelong resident of Bronwood, GA, he was born to the late Charles Hubert Freeman and Cleo Mildred Ryals Freeman. Mr. Freeman was a high school graduate and was a carpenter by trade. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his family. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam and was a member of the VFW Post 5747 and The American Legion Post 30. Mr. Freeman was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Chickasawhatchee Baptist Church in Dawson, GA.
Mr. Freeman was preceded in death by his parents Charles Hubert Freeman and Cleo Mildred Ryals Freeman, two sisters Linda Patterson and Cleo Lovette, and two brothers Robert Freeman and James Freeman.
Survivors include his wife of forty eight years, Peggy Wills Freeman of Bronwood, GA, a son, Paul Hubert Freeman, Jr. and his wife, Julie of Bronwood, GA, two daughters, Stacy Freeman Stephens and her husband, Darrell of Sylvester, GA and Deborah Sue Freeman of Bronwood, GA, a brother, David Freeman and his wife, Karen of Smithville, GA, his sisters, Betty Beamon and her husband, David of Smithville, GA., and Diane Alfred and her husband, Jimmy of Leesburg, GA., his grandchildren, Spencer Stephens, Abigail Stephens, Catilyn Freeman and Nicholas Paul Freeman.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Mathews Funeral Home.
