Patricia Rachel Gilbert

Rachel McKinnon Gilbert, 71, of Albany, GA, died April 11, 2014 at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Crown Hill Cemetery. Brother Randy Stokes will officiate.
A native of Arlington, GA, Mrs. Gilbert grew up in Albany, GA and graduated from Albany High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Ft. Gaines, GA. She loved shopping and fishing. Gardening and working with her flowers was a wonderful pastime while watching her hummingbirds.
Survivors include her husband, Richard L. Gilbert, a daughter, Denise Walker Giles and a son, Greg LaFountaine all of Albany, GA, a brother and his wife, Lloyd and Myrtice McKinnon of Lee County, GA, her grandchildren, Gage Smith of Lee County, GA, Timothy Giles, Jr. of Albany, GA and Jennifer Lynn Giles of Atlanta, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Arthur (Buck) McKinnon and her mother, Bernice Glady Coleman McKinnon.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM Sunday at Mathews Funeral Home.
