Orus Lee Powell

Orus Lee Powell, 94, of Albany, GA died Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Kinsaul will officiate.

Born in Worth Co., GA, Mr. Powell had resided in Albany, GA for the past twenty five years moving from Waycross, GA. Mr. Powell was retired from Atlantic Ice Company and had worked with Southland Pecan Company. He was a member of Raleigh White Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Lee Powell.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Hancock Powell, Albany, GA, two sons, Jackie Edward Powell (Gail), Orange Park, FL, Joey Orus Powell (Donna), Albany, GA, a daughter, Kitty Powell Cole (Larry), Lee Co., GA, a sister, Doris Dollar, Cordele, GA, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
