Ophelia Ham Paul McCanless

Ophelia Ham Paul McCanless, 87, of Morgan, GA., died Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at New Light Free Will Baptist Church. The Honorable Bob Cullifer and Mr. Bobby Paul will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. 

Mrs. McCanless  was born in Henry County AL to the late Robert and Emily Creel Ham. She was licensed cosmetologist and retired for J.C. Penny where she was a hair stylist. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Paul and three sisters, Juanita Ham, Robbie Cullifer and Zelda Manifold. 

Survivors include her daughter, Sondra Paul Cook (Barry) and a granddaughter Melissa Cook Martin (Jason) and two nephews, Bob Cullifer and Bobby Paul.

The family will receive friends Friday March 18, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
