Opal Jane Rich

Opal Jane Rich, 81, of Albany, GA, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019 at her residence. A private memorial service will be held by her family.

Opal was born, March 10, 1938, in Olyphant, AR, to the late Henry and Lillian Malone. She moved to Albany in 1963, where she began her new life with her family. Opal started her career with Turner Job Corp and retired in 1999, to take care of her grandchildren. Opal was a kind, loving and devoted wife to her husband Arnold for 45 years. She was an amazing mother to her sons, Mark and Chris. Opal was an avid reader, loved playing Bingo with her friends, and card games with her family. May God bless her.

In addition to her parents, Opal was preceded in death by a son, Scott Harrison, and all six of her siblings. Those left to cherish her memories include her husband, Arnold Rich of Albany, GA, two sons Mark Harrison (Tammy) of Albany, GA, and Chris Rich (Shireem) of Lake Mary, FL, and two grandchildren Carson Rich and Sydney Rich, both of Lake Mary, FL.
