Opal Lee Phillips

Opal Lee Phillips, 82, of Albany, GA, passed away Tuesday October 07, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.
Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow in Gordon Cemetery Damascus GA.

Raised in Colquitt GA Mrs. Phillips and her late husband traveled extensively during his twenty years of service in the Navy. Upon his retirement they moved to Albany GA in 1969. Mrs. Phillips was of the Baptist faith and was very involved with her grandchildren. She was preceded by a son Gregory Paul Phillips in 2001 and her husband Mr. Carl Phillips Jr. in 2005.

Survivors include a son David Carl Phillips of Albany, GA, two daughters Brenda Sebaugh of Louisville, KY., Renee (Billy) Spires of Albany, GA, six grandchildren Jason Phillips, Brooke Crosby, Josh Sebaugh, Nick Sebaugh, Kelly Tucker, and Jordan Spires, six great grandchildren Abbigail Howard, James McDonald Jr., Collin Howard, Kayden Crosby, Zane Crosby, and Hayden Sebaugh, and many nieces and nephews.
