Olivia Burrell Williams

Olivia Burrell Williams, 76, of Albany, GA, formerly of Rome, GA, died February 8, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church in Mableton, GA. Dr. Carl Rees will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church.

A native of Warrington, GA, she was born to Adoniram Judson Burrell and Martha Edwards Burrell. Mrs. Williams graduated from Columbus High School in 1956 and received her Bachelor Degree of Arts in Music from Mercer University. She continued her education and received her Master of Arts in Religious Education from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Mrs. Williams served along with her husband, Robert A. Williams, Jr. as a missionary in Honduras for thirty years. She had lived in Rome, GA since 1998 and moved to Albany, GA in August of 2013 to be closer to her family. She was a member of New Armuchee Baptist Church and was currently attending Sherwood Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Robert A. Williams, Jr., her daughter, Joy Olivia Williams Joiner and husband, David and granddaughter, Kerianne Olivia Joiner all of Albany, GA, a brother, Rev. Ted Burrell and his wife, Barbara Jean of Ocala, FL and a sister, Ann Judson Pinson and her husband, Larry of Lincolnton, GA. She will be interred next to her son, Robert A. (Robby) Williams, III.
