Oleta Cooper Hancock

Oleta Cooper Hancock, 70, of Albany, GA, died April 14, 2015 at Willson Hospice House. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Crown Hill Cemetery. Dr. Don Adams will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at Mathews Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hancock was a lifelong resident of Albany, GA, she was born on May 7, 1944. She graduated from Albany High School in 1962. She was a dedicated mother and wife who gave all for her family. She was employed with Albany Internal Medicine for forty-seven years and retired as Practice Manager in 2012. Mrs. Hancock was of protestant faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence C. (Larry) Hancock, Jr.
Survivors include her two children and their spouses, Lawrence C. (Chad) Hancock, III and Laura Allison Hancock of Leesburg, GA and Laura Hancock DeMott and Chuck Alan DeMott of Moultrie, GA, a brother and his wife, Melvyn Ray and Barbara Morris Cooper of Albany, GA and two granddaughters, Allison Grace Hancock and Emma Charles Hancock.
