Nora Dorothy Benson Morrison

Nora Dorothy Benson Morrison of Albany, GA, died Friday, July 17, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Deans will officiate. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Ocilla City Cemetery, Ocilla, GA.

Born in Irwin Co., GA, Mrs. Morrison had resided in Albany, GA since 1991 moving from Montgomery, AL. She was a 1949 graduate of the Ocilla High School, a retired receptionist and was a member of Lydia's Sunday School Class, secretary and treasurer of the Women on Mission and Faith Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ira Morrison, granddaughter, Nicole Nora Temples, a great-grandson, Matthew Edward Keller and two sisters, Mazzie Louise Paul and Lizzie Mae Gunby.

Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Parrish Cook and her husband, James Monroe Cook, Leesburg, GA, a step-son, Steve Morrison, Montgomery, AL, a grandson, Jason Edward Keller and his wife Fran Keller, Warner Robins, GA, two great-grandchildren, Chase Joseph Weeks, Jase Alexander Keller, a great-great-granddaughter, Heidi Nicole Keller and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, July 20, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
