Nora M. Carter

Nora Mae Carter, 80, of Albany, GA died Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Ernie Beckwith will officiate. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Christian Church Cemetery in Ochlocknee, GA.

Born in Grady County, GA, Mrs. Carter had resided in Albany, GA since 1951 moving from Thomasville, GA. She was retired from Coats and Clark and was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include her husband, Rudolph L. (Capt. Carter) Carter, two daughters, Linda Diane Leslie (Mike) and Alice Faye Godwin (Steve) all of Albany, GA, two brothers, E.G. Beckwith, San Moreno Valley, CA and Kenny Ray Beckwith, Tampa, FL, two sisters, Lisa Newsom, Atlanta, GA, Irene Bishop, Raleigh, NC, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
