Nicholas (Nick) Bradley Widner

Nicholas (Nick) Bradley Widner, 17, of Lee County, GA, died September 8, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM at True Life Church of God. Pastor Kip Boswell and Terry Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery. To honor his request and raise awareness for childhood cancer, specifically osteosarcoma, please wear yellow or gold and/or casual attire.

Nick was a lifelong resident of Lee County and was currently a senior at Lee County High School where he was active in Welding Class. He enjoyed computers, video production/games and loved to travel. He was also an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his parents, David and Carmin Widner, two sisters, Ivey (Thomas) Clifton and Jamie Davenport all of Lee County, GA, a brother, David Jeremy (Angela) Widner of Worth County, GA, his paternal grandmother, Marie Widner of Lee County, GA, his maternal grandparents, Donnie and Phyllis Spradley of Mauk, GA and Jerry and Diane Gibson of Bishop Hill, IL and his maternal great-grandmother, Margaret DeMott of Lee County, GA. He was preceded in death by both of his grandfathers, Henry Gibson and Frank Widner.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday at Mathews Funeral Home.
