Nicholas Walter Gergen

Nicholas Walter Gergen, 66 of Albany, GA died Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. A memorial service was held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Albany.

Mr. Gergen was a US Navy veteran, a counselor at Turner Job Corp and retired from Lowe's in 2000. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Gergen and Mary Mobley Gergen and a sister, Anne Gergen Krout.

Survivors include a brother, Neil Gergen and his wife, Rosemary and a sister, Cathy Gergen Morey. Mr. Gergen is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Pamela Bone and her husband, Jimmy, Alan Krout, Christopher Gergen and his wife, Rae-Ann, Clayton Morey, Brandi Daniel and her husband, Kevin, Jennifer Boggs and her husband, Stephen, Cliff Morey and his wife, Kelli. He has seven great nieces and nephews, Gantt and Curtis Bone, Kelsey and Jacob Gergen, Reese and Jett Daniel and Kevin Morey. He is also survived by a special little friend Alex Curry and his mother, Rebecca Curry.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, American Lung Association or the charity of your choice.

Following the service, the family will be at the residence of Cathy Morey, 107 B Constitution Court, Albany, GA 31721.
